Tell Me (poem)

Tell me

Tell me I can’t,
Tell me I’m weak
I’ll say I can,
say I’m a freak

Tell me I’m useless
Oh please, test my will
I’ll only get stronger,
’cause I got dreams to fulfill

Tell me I’m foolish
Give your best pleas
But I refuse to settle
For a life on my knees

Go settle for less and close all the doors.
Block out your dreams of a life that could’ve been yours
Go live your life and cower in fears
But don’t come running, grieving in tears.

So go ahead
Tell me, Tell me the world ain’t mine
Tell me I ain’t strong
Tell me, Tell me all of your lies
And I’ll prove them wrong.
